Glory Center Posting – October 2020

Our senses are awakened to God’s glorious presence as we experience the beauty of His creative hand in the changing  Autumn season. Through all seasons of life there are changes. Some changes bring beauty, light, joy, & peace. Other seasons bring suffering, darkness, sadness & turmoil. Through every season, God walks with us. In faith, we know in our hearts that with God all things are possible & in that reality lies our joy, our hope & our peace. It is in that spirit that we share the verse from the book of Ecclesiastes, as well as the words from the song; “The Prayer”.

"Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8"

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven;

a time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted a time to kill, and to time to heal;

a time to break down ,and a time to build up;

a time to weep, and time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and time to dance;

a time to seek and a time to lose;

a time to keep, and a time to throw away;

a time to keep silence, and a time to speak

a time for war, and a time for peace.

“The Prayer”

I pray you’ll be our eyes & watch us were we go

And help us to be wise, in times when we don’t know

Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way,

Lead us to a place, guide us with your grace,

to a place where we’ll be safe.

I pray we’ll find your light, & hold it in our hearts,

When stars go out each night

Let this be our prayer, when shadows fill our day,

Lead us to a place, guide us with your grace,

give us faith so we’ll be safe

We ask that life be kind & watch us from above

We hope each soul will find another soul to love

Let this be our prayer, just like every child,

needs to find a place, guide us with your grace,

give us faith so we’ll be safe
