Glory Center Posting– November 2020

Abiding in Gratitude

November is the season that has traditionally been set aside to focus on giving thanks to God our Creator. Though we are currently living in the midst of a pandemic, amidst all the unsettledness of this time we can continue to lift up our thanks & praise to God our Creator for He promises to continue to walk with us & to surround us with His unending love & healing grace. His glory & steadfast love are revealed to us daily through all of creation. There is nothing in all of creation that can separate us from the gift of the steadfast, unconditional love of our God. Therefore, in faith we can dare to trust our unknown future to our known God. In the spirit of abiding gratitude for all that God is & all that He has blessed us with, we joyfully lift up & share these Psalms & Hymns of praise.

Psalm 100: 1-5

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; Come into His presence with singing. Know that the Lord is God. It is He that made us, & we are His; We are the people, & the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, & his courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever & his faithfulness to all generations.”

“Now Thank We All Our God”

Now thank we all our God With heart & hands & voices.

Whom wonderous things hath done, In whom this world rejoices;

Who, from our mothers’ arms Hath blessed us on our way-

With countless gifts of love, And still is ours today.

All praise & thanks to God, Who reigns in highest heaven.

To Father & to Son & Spirit now be given.

The one eternal God, Whom heaven & earth adore,

The God who was, & is, And shall be evermore.

“Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation! O my soul , praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation! All ye who hear, Now to His temple draw near; Join me in glad adoration!

Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore Him! All that hath life & breath, come now with praises before Him. Let the Amen Sound from His people again, Gladly for aye we adore Him!
