When we are no longer able to change our situation, we are challenged to change ourselves or our view. When we chose to journey in the Light, it affects our health in positive ways & promotes healing of our mind, body & spirit.
The beauty & the suffering that we naturally experience throughout our life are often associated with light & darkness. When we are walking with trust in the Divine Light of God, we recognize God’s presence in all of life. In the Light, we feel joyful, hopeful, at peace, & live & reflect God’s Love & Light outward. Living in the Light affects our whole being in positive ways & promotes healing & wholeness of our mind, body & spirit. When we are in the season of darkness, we often feel: despair, hopelessness, fear, anger, hatred, & exclusion. Without Light, our whole being is affected negatively, hindering whole healing & health. It has been said; “Where there is light, there must be shadows, where there is shadow there must be light. There is not shadow without light & not light without shadow”. Beauty & suffering are woven together as we move through our days, experiencing both joy & sorrow, health & illness, hope & despair, peace & anger, love & hate. Darkness weaves its way into our life when we least expect it & often pulls us into suffering. Though we cannot avoid the shadow seasons of life, we can choose how we are going to journey through them. When we chose to stay in the dark seasons it affects our whole health negatively. When we are no longer able to change our situation, we are challenged to change ourselves or our view. When we chose to journey in the Light, it affects our health in positive ways & promotes healing of our mind, body & spirit.
As we stand on the threshold of a new year with a blank slate in front of us, we do not know what lies ahead. What we do know in this present moment is that regardless of what season we find ourselves in, as God’s children, created in God’s image, we are “children of the Light” & as such we are called to walk in Divine Light. Though there may be darkness around us, as we go forward into this new year as children of the Light, we can draw strength in the belief that we are surrounded by this Divine Light & in God’s time the darkness of; fear, pain & doubt, will be shattered by the inextinguishable Light of God & joy & hope will heal all suffering. We are all invited, to weave this message of hope & God’s Divine healing Grace into the blank slate of our lives throughout this coming year & follow God’s Divine Light that will lead us out of darkness & into fullness, balance & equanimity.
