These inspirational Scriptural based writings, related to challenges, faith, hope, grief, & healing are posted monthly in IHG waiting rooms & the Glory Center to reflect upon, grow from & apply to daily living.
In Kairos moments, when God’s will & time intersect with our will & time, we are brought into harmony & balance with our Creator.
The month of June is the month when all of creation seems to be bursting with reverent beauty, mediating the Glory of our Holy Creator’s presence. Our whole being; mind, body & spirit seems to naturally shift into a spirit of gratitude, joy & hope in response to the beauty of new life, as we take in the natural beauty of this season.
The challenge for our soul is to find ways to walk and live in harmony with God’s creative order.
Transcendental Transformation: Part 1
Transcendental Transformation: Part 2
It is often a challenge as human beings to recognize & live into the fact that we are created by God to be more then mere flesh & blood bodies walking the earth. Our bodies are so visible & demand so much attention it is easy to forget that as beings created in the image of God we are comprised of not only a physical Body but are also comprised of a Mind & a Spirit.
Though it can’t be denied that it is a challenge, the fact is, when we embrace a view of optimal wholeness it is possible to live in a Spirit of optimal health in spite of the fact that our bodies may be broken or in a state of dis-ease in some way.
Did you ever notice that rainbows appear when you least expect them? Regardless of where we might be when we see a rainbow it seems to automatically lift our spirits & to calm the waters of fear that so often surrounds us.
Most of us know that the rainbow is a refraction of light in drops of water but it sure looks like a blessing up there in the sky doesn’t it? If we are paying attention at all, it really is difficult to see a rainbow without experiencing at least some measure of peace. There is something very calming, hopeful & healing about the beautiful arc of bright color appearing unexpectedly suspended in the otherwise grey sky. With the array of colors the rainbow seems to connect heaven with all of earth.
“The Lord’s my shepherd I’ll not want.
He makes me lie in pastures green.
He leads me by the still waters,
His goodness restores my soul “
