These inspirational Scriptural based writings, related to challenges, faith, hope, grief, & healing are posted monthly in IHG waiting rooms & the Glory Center to reflect upon, grow from & apply to daily living.
As you step into this season of the celebration of God’s presence with us & the Light given that will bring new life & wholeness to this broken world, we invite you to pause & give thanks & praise to God the giver of all life.
Life through all its stages of development, is full of challenges, hopes & dream, as well as disappointments, fears, & joys. It is like a mosaic made up of multiple pieces, each of them full in itself, each of them a steppingstone making up the continuous lifeline we call our life. It makes a difference how we journey through the seasons of life we are given.
There is no doubt that life is a blessing, However, at the same time it can be very challenging. The fact is every life is simply a series of lives, each one of them with its own task, its own flavor, its own brand of errors, its own glories, its own kind of deep dark despair, and its own plethora of possibilities. Through each stage of our living, God our Creator is walking with us to guide us and show us the way and in that reality is comfort, strength and hope to go forward in the living of our days.
Sometimes the path on our life journey is smooth, unencumbered, & very clear. Other times our life is tumultuous & full of challenges. Often, we have no control over the circumstances we encounter along our path of life. However, we do have choices as to how we view the situations we encounter, whether they are smooth & unencumbered or whether they are tumultuous & our view affects our actions. The question is, when we encounter a challenge & get stuck or lose our way, how do we regain our vision, balance & focus so we can move forward on a smooth path of whole life once again?
God is our answer & we meet Him, spirit to spirit, when we engage in the gift of sacred pausing. We need places that are larger than the sum of their parts in order to remind us that we are all larger than the sum of our earthly body, mind, & spirit. It is our prayer that all God’s people will make time to meet God in those sacred moments & receive His gift of healing.
God created human beings in His very image & empowered them with His Holy Spirit so that they would live in partnership & covenant with him, reflecting out His light, love & grace through their living. Reflecting God’s image & light is the Divine purpose of human existence.
Since God is present in all forms of life, in many ways, all forms of life serve as ambassadors for God, reminding us of His grace-filled presence with us even when we are in seasons of suffering.
